Kevin S. Mahoney

Kevin Mahoney specializes in estate and trust litigation. He spent several years as a partner at a Denver law firm where he handled medical malpractice and mass tort cases. He serves as personal counsel to physicians who are defendants in litigation. He has been practicing since 1995 and is licensed in both Colorado and Wyoming. He has been selected as a Colorado Super Lawyer every year since 2009 and has been named as a 5280 Top Lawyer every year since 2015.

Mr. Mahoney attended college at Duke University where he was a four-year letterman on the varsity lacrosse team. He was chosen to the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll during each of his four years of college. In 1991 he graduated magna cum laude from Duke with a double major in history and political science. He then attended Duke University School of Law, which is one of the top ten law schools in the country. He was a member of the law review at Duke and received the Note of the Year Award in 1994. In 1995, Kevin graduated in the top ten percent of his law school class.

Mr. Mahoney has been a youth lacrosse coach for fifteen years. He was the head coach for all four of his children’s teams – two sons and two daughters.
